Send a message with a link to the web folder
Demonstration email program:
Student server Web Mail
Open a new message window
In "To:" type your recipient's email address
For example, on the Student server, if your user name was "
jdoe
", your own address would be:
jdoe@student.santarosa.edu
In "Subject:" enter a descriptive title
In the body of the message:
Write a short note
Ask that your recipient, before downloading the file, to call or write to you first to confirm
Viruses don't do this
Include this request even if you use attachments
Copy and paste the web address of your web subfolder above
Send the message
After receiving the message, your recipient can click on the web address to open your folder
